It's that time of year again, when the children have gone back to school, the nights are drawing in and thoughts turn to woolly jumpers, mugs of hot chocolate and evenings in cosy pjs.
I love Autumn/Fall for all the beautiful colours as well as all the craft ideas.
Nature is always a fantastic inspiration in terms of its colour and beauty and Autumn is no exception. I just love the colours of the leaves as they fall, the richness of fresh conkers and bright orange pumpkins in all manner of shapes.
There are all sorts of leaf-themed arts and crafts you can do with children, from painting and printing to leaf rubbing. Here's is just one activity you could do, using my free printable leaf outlines (link at the bottom of the page).
These look great when coloured or painted. Children can either paint the whole leaf or add detail into the smaller sections. I stuck to Autumnal colours, but my youngest daughter wanted to buck the trend and go with pinks and sparkly purples!
Once the leaves are cut out, they look great on an Autumn-themed bookshelf or around a mirror. If printed on card, then you could even add holes and some string to create some beautiful bunting.
